In August 2011, Br. David Steindl-Rast gave some of his clearest, most inspired teachings about the practice of grateful living to a group of 85 people who cruised with him through Alaska’s Inside Passage.  Our staff and volunteers at A Network for Grateful Living (ANG*L) were fortunate to capture these talks on film to share with you in the form of webinars. 

Our first webinar, “Awakening to Gratefulness,” is a beta test that will run for four weeks:  Monday, January 23 through Friday, February 17.  Each Monday and Wednesday you will receive an email with a link to a short video of Br. David, accompanied by a study guide to help you explore that day’s themes.  On Fridays, we will meet by teleconference from noon until 1pm EST.  This will allow us to share insights and questions in small groups and all together.  The teleconferences will be moderated by Patricia Carlson, Executive Director of ANG*L, and Margaret Wakeley, ANG*L’s Community Development Coordinator, both of whom were on the Alaska Cruise and have worked closely with Br. David over many years. 

You can work through the webinar on your own, signing up to receive only the study guides and video links ($19.99), or you can sign up for the entire webinar including the Friday teleconferences ($39.99).  If you would like to receive the study guides and films and need a scholarship, we have provided for that opportunity, too, based on an honor system that those who can contribute will do so.  For those of you registering outside of the U.S., be sure to choose the "Outside the US" option in the drop-down list of States, which is listed under "O".
